Caps for Sale

A very clever gift from Pete for our 2nd wedding anniversary, which is traditionally a gift of “cotton”: a handmade cycling cap with our initials and wedding date embroidered on it. Now Lucy has claimed it as her own. I finally got a photo of her and the cap.  It’s my favorite hat, and I chose the colors of purple with houndstooth, and orange under the brim.  Made by Octopus Caps.

Clear with a Chance of Warm

An 80 degree day in March, at Montrose Beach and Pier.  Unbelievable.  Sunscreen for all, walking barefoot in the sand.  Beautiful.  Lucy walked on sand for the first time, as last year she wasn’t yet walking.  It was a little unsteady and she avoided it for awhile, but then got used to it.  And of course, she loved the piña colada paleta so much, she gave it a hug.

Balcony

Well, daddy went out and baby-proofed the balcony, so she can’t slip through the bars or toss her toys out.  She can only toss what she can fit through the tiny little square, like my lip balm and other small items.  Needless to say, she *loves* it out there, it’s her favorite place to be.  Sunshine, breeze, 30 square feet of total luxury!  She drags her toys out there and splashes around in her, ahem, pool (bucket of water).  It’s her own little yard, for the time being.
